In the last thirty years the primary terapeutic method for dealing with direct carotid-cavernous fistula (CCF) is endovascular treatment. Nowadays the preferred method of choice is closing the direct CCF with trombogenic coils through transarterial access. When taking into account the anatomy of our patient's fistula, its size and colateral circulation, we used a coronary stentgraft for closing the direct CCF - with which we achieved the immediate closure of the fistula. The developement of coronanary stentgrafts made with only one stent increases their flexibility, it makes them easier to implant and therefore this practice can become a more often used alternative to the classic method of treatment for the direct CCF.
