Recommendations on how to perform voiding cystourethrography in childrenGuidelines
- Klinika zobrazovacích metod 2. LF a FN Motol, Praha
Voiding cysoturethrography (VCUG) is the most frequent fluoroscopic investigation in children. The investigation is highly distressing for the patient and his parents. During VCUG sensitive tissues are exposed to ionizing radiation. Correct examination technique lowers both the distress as well as the final dosis of radiation. This article represents a recommended method of performing VCUG based on the current knowledge of this topic.
