Hepatic sarcoidosis - case reportCase report
- Klinika radiologie a nukleární medicíny, Fakultní nemocnice Brno
In this case report patient was examined in hospital for unspecific symptoms and fever. Initially only lymphadenopathy and hepatosplenomegaly were present, there was no significant pathology of lung parenchyma. The patient was treated with corticotherapy, but soon new liver lesions emerged on a follow-up CT scan, which could not be asses by imaging alone. Hepatic granulomas were found in sample from liver biopsy. After prolonged corticotherapy CT lesions diminished and the diagnosis of sarcoidosis was established per exclusionem. The case report further discuss typical imaging findings and differential diagnosis.
