Skull base - imaging difficultiesReview article

Various pitfalls in the imaging of skull base diseases exist with respect to the relationship with surrounding structures and the specific position of skull base:
1. the correct interpretation of the relationship between the pathologic process and the surrounding anatomical structures,
2. the cervico - cranial junction,
3. a correct skeletal changes analysis,
4. the differential diagnosis of the skull base pathologies,
5. the proper choice of the diagnostic algorithm.
