Therapy of venous aortorenal bypass aneurysm using a stentgraftCase report
- Základna radiodiagnostiky a intervenční radiologie IKEM, Praha
A case of 77 years male patient who underwent a bilateral venous aortorenal bypass 30 years ago is presented. Thirteen years ago mild renal functions impairment occurred with diminishing of the both kidneys size and suspected left ostial bypass stenosis. At the last (a year ago) sonographic follow-up an aneurysm of left renal bypass (diameter 42 mm) was detected, the finding was confirmed by CT angiography. Simultaneously an ostial stenosis of left renal bypass was diagnosed. The stentgrafting using selfexpandable stentgraft of the aneurysm together with the stenosis dilatation was attempted. Proximal endoleak after stengraft placement required another, balloon-expandable stentgraft ostial implantation. Completion angiography and three-months CTA follow-up confirmed well patent stentgrafts, complete thrombosis of the aneurismal sac with preserved kidney perfusion. Renal functions stayed stable, the hypertension if better controlled.
