Deep vein thrombosis is a a common disease associated with high mortality and morbidity rates. The efficiency of traditional systemic anticoagulation therapy is generally low. Nowdays, a growing body of evidence suggests that endovascular local thrombolysis methods including pharmacological and mechanical approach improve short and long term outcomes of patients with this diagnosis. Percutaneous inferior vena cava filter placement also play important role in the prevention of pulmonary embolism in particular cases.
