In two cases, we demonstrate the typical features of the invasive form of the placenta - the placenta percreta. In the examination of two patients with suspicion of a possible development of placental disorder we present typical features of the placenta percreta. The examination was performed on 1.5 T MRI scanner - Magnetom Avanto (Siemens, Erlangen).
One part of the article presents the protocol used in our department.
The discussion will deal with risk factors for developing this nosological unit, discuss the various stages of invasion of the placenta to the uterine wall. We are dedicated to the normal development of the placenta in the MR image, characteristics evaluation normal placenta and in particular discuss the symptoms typical of placental tissue invasion through the uterine wall and serosa into a small pelvis. In conclusion, we emphasize the necessity of the radiologist's experience with evaluation of placental disorder, the necessity of interdisciplinary collaboration and co-operation between specialized centers.
