Sacroccocygeal teratoma in pre- and postnatal period - case reportCase report

We describe a case of a prenatally detected sacrococcygeal teratoma withdebulking of the expansion immediately after birth and subsequent recurrenceof the teratoma with yolk sac tumor involvement at 5 months of age. Theclinical condition was further complicated by the prenatal development ofsubvesical obstruction and the presence of a uterovaginal fistula detectedafter surgical extirpation of the tumor. The description of this case issupplemented by current knowledge regarding the diagnosis and treatment ofthese tumors and their prognosis.
