Desmoid tumor or aggressive fibromatosis is a benign, but potentially locallyaggressive form of fibromatous neoplasia presenting a considerable challengein terms of diagnostics, clinical presentation and therapy. The authors reviewbasic types, localisation and differential diagnosis and discuss currentoptions in treatment of desmoids in complex oncological center and referspecifically to percutaneous cryoablation as a novel form of local therapy ofprogressing or recurrent forms of the disease.
