V souhrnném článku jsou diskutovány subtypy jednotlivých somatostatinových receptorů, funkce a struktura somatostatinu a jeho účinek na receptory. V článku se popsán způsob přípravy radiofarmaka 68Ga-edotreotidu, jeho distribuce a zejména vazba na tkáně, které jsou fyziologicky vybaveny somatostatinovými receptory.
